Do’s and Don’ts in Ladakh —

• You must take permission before clicking photographs of any person or monument. Remember photography is restricted in some of the monuments and monasteries in Ladakh.
• Do not forget to take water bottles, water purification pills, energy drinks and eating items along with you. Dromsa Laundry sells high pressure boiled water at a price of Rs. 7 per liter.
• Don’t use plastic bags for carrying stuff as plastic is officially banned in Ladakh.
• Beware of the highly sensitive ecology of the region and make sure not to disturb wildlife during the trek.
• One cannot decide to travel to Ladakh on the spur of the moment. It requires meticulous planning in terms of booking hotels, flights, checking information about the peak tourist seasons (June till October) and finding an appropriate tour operator.

Below is a list of places where you can find an ATM while traveling from Srinagar to Leh. Like petrol pumps, the availability of cash in ATMs at some of the remote villages remains doubtful. The best thing to do is to withdraw enough cash from Srinagar that can last for the next couple of days until you reach Leh.

• GANDERBAL: SBI, J&K Bank, HDFC Bank ATMs available but none are on the highway. You will have to enter the town a little.
• MANIGAM: J&K Bank ATM just before Hotel Easton Grande.
• WUSSAN: J&K Bank ATM.
• KANGAN: J&K Bank ATM.
• HARI GANIWAN: J&K Bank ATM.
• GUND: J&K Bank ATM.
• SONAMARG: J&K Bank ATM.
• DRAS: J&K Bank ATM, SBI ATM near Kargil War Memorial.
• KARGIL: J&K Bank ATM.
• SHARGOLE: SBI ATM but not on the highway. You need to go towards the village about 5 km from Srinagar-Leh road.
• SASPOL: SBI ATM.
•  LEH: J&K Bank, Axis Bank, HDFC Bank, ICICI Bank, SBI ATMs available.

Cancellation Policy—

 If Full Payment Made:

• If any cancellation 30+ days prior to arrival 50% will be charged on the basis booked 
• If any cancellation 29 - 16 days - 75% will be charged on the basis booked
• If any cancellation 15 - 00 days - 100% will be charged on the basis booked
• No refunds during peak seasons (Holi, Bengali New Year, Summer Vacation, Puja, Diwali, Dec 15 – Jan 31, Feb 07th - 14th) 

If Advance Paid Only:

• 80% of advance retained 
• 20% refundable 

Management holds rights to alter itinerary due to natural or political circumstances. Any additional payment to be made on the spot.
